A little bit more about us...
Who are We? We are people from the community working together to care for one another. We come from all faiths or no faith. Just people working to care for one another because we respond to God who cares for everyone.
Some History. Stewartstown Food Pantry grew out of a backpack ministry at Stewartstown United Methodist Church. For several years we supplied weekly backpacks, filled with food for the weekend, for families whose elementary age children received the school lunch program. When COVID hit, it became obvious that families needed help with food. We started a drive up pantry at the Church. The pantry quickly outgrew the church and the backpack ministry. It moved to the current location in May of 2021. Former backpack recipients are invited to participate in the food pantry program.
