The mission of The Stewartstown Food Pantry is to love our neighbors by providing access to nutritious food to anyone experiencing food insecurity or financial hardship. Our intent is to treat each person with respect, dignity, and grace; provide opportunity to increase self-sufficiency, and instill hope. Our goal is for the pantry to have a meaningful, enduring impact.

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

Saubel's Market of Stewartstown is accepting donations to the food pantry periodically. Check when you are there! Shoppers have the opportunity to donate non-perishable food items to the food pantry while they are checking out.  We are so thankful for the donations received. The neighbors who come to the pantry will be blessed by this community's kindness and generosity!

How We Serve:

Food distributions are held every other Saturday
at the the Stewartstown Food Pantry, located in the garage behind 10 Church St.
Access the pantry from the SUMC auxiliary parking lot at 8 Church St. Stewartstown, PA
Anyone desiring assistance can receive food.
Those in need can enter the pantry and choose the foods, as well as cleaning and personal items, that are most useful to them.  Appointments are recommended to minimize wait time.  To make an appointment, fill out the contact form below or
call 717-501-6018 and leave a message.

How to Help

  • An easy way to help is to give unexpired, non-perishable food directly to the Pantry.  See our “Wish List” below for staples that we provide or items that we can use.
  • Partnerships with local food banks allow us to purchase food at tremendous savings.  Each $1 donated can provide four to six pounds of food for those in need.
  • As our pantry evolves, our volunteer needs are changing. Volunteers are needed to: collect, sort, pack, and distribute food, as well as keep our facility clean.  We need event planners and administrative volunteers to return calls. For more information see the Volunteers page and send us a message including your gifts and where you would like to serve - even if it is not listed!
